I started at Gold's Gym 6 weeks ago and my trainer told me on day one that every 6 weeks he would measure me, figure my body fat, and weigh me. I know some of you have been asking about my workouts so decided instead of talking about this every post (which I'm sure many of you would get bored with) I will try and post at these 6-week weigh-ins. Of course if I have something really cool come up or race, then I'll post more often.
SO, drumroll please...
I've lost 3 inches from my waist, 1.5 inches from my hips, and nearly an inch from my neck (how is that even possible?!) I lost 4.1% body fat!! (I'm really excited about that one.) My trainer said that is really good and many of his clients don't even see those kind of results in a year. I'm down 12 lbs. and only 22 lbs. away from my goal. I'm excited! When I get brave enough I will post before and after pics, but not this time around (I'm still sporting a nice little belly I don't want the world to see.)
I'm running a 10K on Sept. 6th. It's up at the U and starts at 9am. My sister-in-law is doing it with me. If anyone else is interested, just let me know and I'll get you the details.

Way to go! Loosing weight is torture. At least it is for me. I am so proud of you!
I'm so glad you found us! I've been wondering about how you all were doing. I can't believe how old your kids are - Ben starting to read! WOW! Do you mind if we link you on our blog?
Also I have to say that you are very impressed that you are going to the gym so much - good job and good luck!
Woo Hoo, way to go, Jamie!!!
I am excited for you and know it is not easy to exercise with 3 little ones. Thanks for the daily plate site, I have been charting my calorie intake for the last week and it helps me decide to eat a little healthier than I usually do.
Well, I'm not at all surprised after seeing how great you look last Friday! Way to go, Jamie, you're an inspiration!
congratulations, those are awesome numbers. It sounds like either your goal was too easy or you're working really hard... You should definately be proud. I love races, they're a good motivator to keep working hard, keep training. Good luck and enjoy!
Yeah! Good job on the weight loss. 12 lbs in 6 weeks is great! I just reached my goal weight this week finally. I was pretty excited about that. Maybe I will run with you...hm...10k you say? I would need to do a little work to get ready for that.
Good job!! That is so inspiring for the recently post-partum like me!! I wish that I could run with you in Sept. I'll have to wait a little longer. Keep going, you're doing great!
That's so awesome! Congrats. I am sure you look and feel great, I can't wait for the before and after pictures. I am gaining all the weight you are losing :)
good for you. Yes I miss you too. I still have no friends!! and i miss having you around. Maybe you could fly out here sometime! But thankfully after 18 months my prayers have been heard and my sister inlaw and fam are moving here in a couple of weeks, i had to hold back the tears when she told me, thats how bad its been. I always thought that i was a pretty likeable person but this ward has been a tough struggle. anyway wishing we could get together, I'm only 2years behind on my scrap booking now and have no idea how to catch up. love and miss you Bev
What an amazing woman you are! Way to go Jamie! Has it been very hard for you?

Jamie- Way to go girl. I have to start doing the same thing soon. Your posts are inspiring me though. Do you feel like the trainer is helping a lot?
I am really proud of you. And about your previous post...that really made me smile to think of somebody actually working so hard with general conference. Actually, I could learn a thing or two from that person.
You are looking good! I'm proud of you. It's and inspiration to get into shape and lose unwanted pounds and inches. Keep up the good work. And good luck on your marathon.
Heidi
