Today was Ben's first day of kindergarten. (It was basically an orientation for all the parents and a chance for the kids to meet each other and the teacher.) Ben told me last night when I was putting him to bed that he didn't know if he would be able to sleep because he was so excited to start kindergarten. He was dancing around the house all morning, counting down the minutes until we left. When I took his picture this morning, he asked me if I could take one of his backpack because "it's so cool!" Emma was having a hard time watching Ben get ready to go. She kept asking if she could go to kindergarten and Jake and I let her know only two more years until it's her turn. Thank goodness she doesn't have a real concept of time because the answer "two years" seemed to console her. The last picture is of Ben sitting with his class. His teacher, Mrs. Armknecht (arm-connect), asked "Who is excited for kindergarten?" It took a couple seconds for anyone to raise their hand but then eventually all hands were raised. I think Ben's teacher is wonderful and have heard only good things about her. I'm excited for him... my big boy!

I just can't believe Ben is already in kindergarten!! What a big boy -- he'll do so great!
Ben we are so excited for you. You are such a big boy and handsome too. We hope you have fun on your first day of class.
what?! how did he already get that old! it doesnt seem like that long ago that you guys were just moving into the court!
Wow, I can't believe how big Ben is. I still remember the first time I met you. You were moving in across the hall from us and Ben was in the apartment screaming his guts out. I think I'll always picture Ben as a little kid. Funny how people get stuck in a time warp after you move away. When you see them again it's shocking how much they've grown. He looks like such a good handsome little kid! How exciting!
It was so good to catch up with you again. I was so shocked to see how big your kids are. My email is jacque underscore ahlin at yahoo.com

i just did the same thing yesterday! Little Chauncey came home and said that it was more boring than he had expected! He will love it though. He was so comfortable there. Not me!
I can't believe how fast time flies. Ben looks so grown up and ready to learn. You are such an awesome mom. It seems like forever until that first day of school will come for us. I will try and enjoy the baby years while they last.
