25:46

Today I ran 3 miles in 25:46, my fastest time yet. That averages out to just over 8 1/2 min. miles. There is no way I could have held that pace for much longer, but it was nice to know I'm getting faster and stronger. Also, I noticed my heart rate dropped nearly 40 bpm within 2 minutes of finishing my run, which I'm told is great. Last Saturday I ran 6 miles without stopping in 58:06, the first time I've ever done that (ran 6 and no stopping.) I feel great. Salt Lake City Half Marathon here I come!!! 93 days and counting...

I sold some stuff on eBay so I could make a little cash to buy some more clothes. I took the kids to Park City on Tuesday and we spent over 4 hours there at the Outlet stores. I found 3 sweaters, puff vest, a couple dressy shirts, and a pair of pants. The kids did great and I felt like the trip was a major success. I actually like buying new clothes now... probably a little too much Jake would say. ;)

The best news of all... I hit my original goal to lose 30 lbs. last week. I'm in the 130s now. WOO HOO! Only a couple more lbs. now until 130 and then I'll post full body shots. I know you're all dying to see them, but you will just have to be patient. ;)

I am so happy for you. I just wish I had whatever you have that keeps you going. I am in a huge slump right now. I've been eating better but I haven't wanted to workout at all this week. This happens now and then, so at least I know it won't last forever. Maybe some day we'll make that trip to PC together. Oh yeah, did you get the message from Abby? Old Navy is having their 50% off clearance sale.

You make me sick! I wish I had the stamina that you have. I honestly don't feel very good running more than 2.5 miles straight and even then it's not at a run, it's at 5.5. If I try to run faster I end up feeling really exhausted and I burn out quicker. If I keep it at 5.5 then I can go a whole lot longer without stopping. I am seriously, honestly telling you that I will probably take like 3 hours to finish that dumb race. I don't care, though, because I'm just doing it to prove that I can and to give me something to work towards in my workouts. So, you keep being wonder woman and I'll just try to get to the point that I won't throw up during the race. Ugh, why do I do this???

Congratulations!!! I finally got the courage and drive to join a gym last month. I have been loving it!!! I canceled our cable and put the money towards a membership for both Preston and I. It even paid for the KidsClub so I get free daycare while I work out. I have never been a good runner. And having a God given big chest doesn't help. But I have been working really hard on the treamill to build up my stamina. I still feel my chest bounce up to my forward and my butt bouncing up and down, but I have already lost 11 lbs. and I am going strong. I would really appreciate your tips and tricks on losing weight. Oh...and I finally got the comment feature to work on my blog. www.ppdavis.blogspot.com

Congrats Jamie! You're smart to be serious now as it only gets more and more difficult. I joined Curves 1 yr ago and go mostly 3X/week. I've lost inches but very little weight. It's not anywhere near as intensive as what you're doing, but at least it's something and somewhere to build from. Happy New Year. Much love to all.

You ROCK! Ok I have been thinking about this and talking with Drew and I think I have gotten the courage up to do this half marathon with you guys. I still need to register.....I've been putting off doing that because I wasn't sure if I could do it but I'm going to. I am going to make it happen. I just might be WAY slower than you guys and I may be throwing up. But it will be worth it right. haha Anyway, I really want to do it and it gives me something to work towards which I really need. You impress me so much, I am so happy for you. Thanks for helping me start my workouts!!!!

Jamie,

This is Melissa Walker, I just wanted to leave you a note and tell you congrats on your running! I am training to do a 1/2 marathon this spring as well (in WA) and that's an awesome time! I also think it's awesome how you've posted your weight loss on your blog, it's inspired me to try even harder to lose the last 15 lbs!!
