I think most of you know we have a labradoodle, Truman. I've wanted a smaller dog for awhile now and Jake has been totally supportive, but I decided to wait. Yesterday my dad e-mailed and said a co-worker was giving away his two shih tzu/lhasa apso puppies to good homes and we needed to act fast if we wanted one. I fell in love with this one. It actually looks a lot like the puppies I had been considering when Jake and I were looking a couple months ago. He is 9 weeks old and seems good around kids. We were told this morning that he is ours so now we are figuring out how we're going to get him here from Oregon... either we will pay to have him shipped on Delta or my mom said she might drive him out here. We will get the details ironed out most likely tonight. Hopefully in the next couple days our little guy will get here, then we can spoil him rotten and shower him with love. The kids are very excited and can't wait for "Truman's little brother" to arrive.

So, is he taking the place of a fourth child? Dogs seem like as much work as a child to me! Max would love to come see him if you are game sometime, let me know! Congratulations on your newest member. I don't think you qualify for meals, but maybe we could get him a bone!
I'm so jealous! He's adorable!! I talked with Chad today and came to the reality that I would have a hard time having a dog right now seeing as we're still fixing the backyard and I'm planning on getting pregnant relatively soon. I decided the best time would be around 4-6 months after the baby is born. We'll see if I can hold out that long
He is SOOO CUTE!! I don't know if I would get another dog knowing what I know about having a dog myself, but I do think it is nice for dogs to have a little buddy too. Maybe you will inspire me. Let us know how it goes!
You will love this dog! I have two shih-tzus and a lhasapoo. My lhasapoo is the best dog EVER and she has the exact same colorings as this dog! Congrats on the new addition!
